Ordered a couple at this price at a local Lowe's. Received order is ready for a pickup email, followed by a call, saying that the lids on these are crushed, and the new lids would be $3 extra. What kind of nonsense is this?! Imagine buying a car that is advertised at X, but when you pick it up, they disclose that the engine is blown, and if you need a new engine, you gotta pay more.

Picked up 10 of these in SoCal @6.72 each. They do have a 27 gallon which isn't Kobalt for $7.98. Not a big fan of the color or style though. The Kobalt look better, have great reviews and cheaper although smaller. Posting the others just for reference.

I picked up a few of the Kobalt ones today and can confirm they are nicer overall than the project source ones. Lids are a bit thicker and its nice to have latches that click in on all sides. The gasket on the Kobalt is also nice to not have to worry about water or dust getting in.
