I bought a pair of the single version of this a couple of months ago from Sam's Club - there were called the Intex River Run Sports Lounge. We used them on a river float in Washington State and they surpisingly held up great, despite going over a few rocks in the shallow river. I wouldn't be going down serious rapids with these and I would be prepared to swim in the case of a puncture, but we had no problems. For river and lake floating, they're great.

Don't see that. That would be YMMV. Amazon is weird about who gets their coupons. It remains a mystery. Possibly a coupon that was used the past on another item.

I have this and buyer beware that it takes an incredible amount of air to get this inflated. Forget about pumping by hand. Even a portable electric pump takes a long time to fill this. As an example, it takes twice as long to fill this compared to an inflatable kayak.

I have the 1 person version of this Intex River Run floats in both blue and pink and I have to say that they are so much fun. These are great for someone who just want to relax and chill on the water with a drink or just drift on the water...they have a netting on the bottom which supports the base so there is no risk of slipping and drowning etc. There is a headrest as well to relax your head/back which inflates separately.

They are made up of durable vinyl (plastic) and hold the air pretty well....I have had them for about 3 years now and use them every year at least 2 to 4 times during our camping trips and lake visits here in Northern California. I use a cheap rechargeable Ryobi tire inflator to pump these...I have also invested in an Intex dual action pump which makes inflating them a bit faster. This is a great deal for a 2-person IMO...as I got the single person ones for the same price.

All the Walmarts around me (Charlotte) have had large clearances on inflatables, among other things. They have this Intex one for under $20 (19. something), or an Ozark Trail that looks identical for $11.50. Obviously YMMV

Intex makes great inflatable products.
A few years back, Amazon sourced them to duplicate this tube, but in yellow. That was awesome, but then they eventually switched producers and the drop in quality was apparent.
These are not tow behind a boat tubes. Or a replacement for significantly more expensive raft for rapids. These are budget tubes.
If you use them in a rocky river float, they hold up well. But I'd advise against doing so repeatedly, as every rock hit does chip away at the rubber. I usually float with these down the Truckee river twice, then relegate them to Tahoe/Washoe Lake use, where the lack of abrasions gives them a long shelf life.
And a friendly reminder to newer Tesla owners, there is no cigarette 12V port. If you don't equip a USB powered air pump, you're going to have a sad time at the lake.

I love just mixing drinks right into the cooler. Nothing like a fishbowl margarita with pvc tubes as straws. Also doubles as a porta potty for emergencies

The Intex River Run line is THE line you want for floating tubing.

There was a deal recently for the single version for $11.97 shipped. Not too difficult to hook 2 together and cheaper than this deal, but at $23.99 for the 2 person, is as good as it gets unless you catch a one off deal.

Just grab one just to have for when you do go out to the laker/river etc.

I would advise that you actually test it and inflate it. I know intex is the name for inflatables but several times ive come upon products that had a hole right out of the package.

Just a note that the listed "5 air chambers to keep you afloat with ultimate buoyancy" is the total of all air chambers. There is only ONE chamber for the main tube area that keeps you afloat, so a leak there means the whole buoyant section is gone. The other 4 air chambers are the two back supports and the top and bottom cooler area.

Not mentioned in the description is that there is no included pump, so you will need to get your own--and you really should get one that can fit the Boston Valve on the float. This will cost about another $10-$15 or so. Using a regular bike tire pump would take a very long time since most are for high-pressure, low volume tires, and for this you need high volume, but you don;t need high pressure.

In a pinch you can sort of use your leaf blower to roughly blow air into the larger valve, doing as best you can to seal around the gap between blower and valve, and inflate most of the larger air chamber.

You won't get it to optimal pressure, as you may not be able to create a tight seal between the leaf blower, but it will get you about 80-90% there and you'll have enough air to shape the chamber and float.

EDIT: As others have mentioned in their reviews, it is preferable to have a paddle in order to maneuver around, as it is awkward trying to reach down into the water to use your hands to get around. For the cup holders: it's best to have a covered cup or a bottle, as it's easy to tilt the cup holder area and spill your drink if it's in an uncovered container.
