$500 was probably msrp 2-3 years ago when it first came out. Probably only the newest PowerDetect model with auto-empty bin is worth $500. But still a very good price for a still pretty solid vacuum, especially with the added discount of 10-15% with the various coupon codes. So I am picking one up to replace my 5 year old MultiFlex duo clean which is still working.

This did have $450-500 price range when it first got out. I got one and I am very disappointed!! Battery barely lasts and cleaning dust compartment is a hassle.

I bought it for $400-$500 without the scent thing from Costco. I love it. Good for laminate floors and carpet without having to change heads. I like that it folds up to stand without having to lean it against a wall. Battery doesn't last long but enough to do my entire floor on the auto setting. Bin is small but easy to empty after every use so it has never been a problem.
