You can also put things in the cart - call/chat with Dell sales and ask them (basically) what other discounts can they offer to get you to finalize/actually buy the item. I've had good luck doing that in the past ranging from an additional 5-10% discount, some accessories, to a year of additional warranty.
It has been a few years since I bought a full desktop from Dell so I have not tried this since then.

I was also unable to use my coupon code for this item. However, as another user suggested, I contacted customer support via chat with the item in my cart and told them my coupon code wasn't working. I had to jump through a few hoops, and it took about 20 minutes, but he hooked me up with a "First Timer" discount. I ended getting this for $1,592.99!
