Lay them in the sun to soften up the material before install just don't let them get too soft. Wear gloves and buy a roller too.

I installed these in my 4Runner. Doesn't help much with road noise but the stereo sounds nice and road vibrations are reduced.

also if you're looking to get a quieter interior, you're better off getting some MLV (mass loaded vinyl) with foam used in combination with this. This will only remove resonant buzzes and hums and trash can sounds. The MLV will stop noise.

I had to take the interior out of my truck for a different project, and installed this while it was down to bare metal. Can't say I really noticed any difference, but my hearing is meh on a good day.

the 36 piece smaller sheets are also thicker. The manual that comes with these lists the thickness of the 36 piece version at 80mil thick while the 10 piece version is only 60 mil thick. they both used to be 100 mil thick years ago and then shrinkflation happened.

I sound deadened all 4 of my cars with the 80 mil version and the bass response is much tighter. the door also feels more solid when closing and opening just due to the extra weight. as other someone else pointed out, buy a roller to install these. you don't need 100% coverage for it to be effective, only ~40% per coverage per panel will dampen the vibrations.

the 35 sheets is a better cost per sq ft if you need more than 10 sq ft of this.

I liked the opposite. when putting this through the speaker holes in the door I wanted them stiffer. but between the door and panel yes.

So this one would be for Audio dampening, and not road noise dampening (I'm assuming due to thickness).
