This is very good knife set. I bought mine in May, still extremely sharp. The stand is high quality with a strong magnet. Highly recommend at $50 and below.

I'd get this if I didn't already get that JA Henkels Professional S knife set deal for $90 a few months back. Those knives will last a lifetime with basic use and care, while the ABS plastic handles on these may eventually wear out after some years. still cant beat this for the price though - I bought a separate magnetic knife holder for those knives for $35, and for $11 more you get the magnetic holder and knives included in this deal. Quite slick for the price.

This was (maybe still is in some locales) $40 at BJ's, so not a smoking deal.

Since when did stainless steel become "rust resistant". I've had a set of stainless steel knives in my kitchen for at least a couple of decades that have never seen even a spot of rust on them. I think that retailers should start doing a magnet test on their knives before marketing them to get rid of all the junk being sold. An actual set of stainless knives is almost impossible to find anymore.
