Is it built like a tank? I thought the T series build like a tank
This model is T500. Does that make it a T series and built like a tank?
This is a 2nd gen P14s with intel though. Perfectly fine laptop and decent price. I always prefer to buy them used at an even lower price.
If I were in need of a laptop for college or something right now this is pretty good.

Just like the "G2i" moniker -- it's some variation of their 2nd gen of the P14s, which in itself is a second gen (hence the s for "second"). So is it the third version? Fourth? No idea. And that's probably the way they like it. No easy way to compare like items.
Honest assessment of the machine:
- It's an older processor, as is common with refurbs. Not great, not terrible. It's Windows 11 compatible.
- The 16gb ram + 256gb SSD is middling at best -- these are specs you'd expect to find in an entry-level machine from 2015. I'm unsure of the upgradeability of this particular machine, so it might be a trivial exercise + mild cost to upgrade it. Thankfully, Lenovo is more user-friendly than Apple in this regard.
- The price for a refurb is over twice of competitors. You have Dell refurbs in the $125-250 range with 32gb ram + 512gb ssd (with similar dated Intel CPUs).
- The P-series chassis is....well, although it's not terrible (and a far better chassis than most plastic meh-tastic laptops from HP & Dell), it's a far cry from the well-renowned T-series and X-series.

could switch to Linux and I probably will at some point on a secondary device but I don't quite know if I'm ready to make the plunge entirely. maybe a steam deck would be a good way to dip my toe in the water
