Amazon also sells mp3 albums. When you buy Audio CD you also get mp3 album.

It just means that Amazon automatically puts the mp3 in your Amazon Music digital library. So you have access to it in the Amazon Music app shortly after the CD ships. It used to be more widely available, but it seems that Amazon has mostly discontinued it.

Though your definition is correct, CDs were rarely referred to as albums when referring to the medium, in my experience. Album usually referred to the sound recording itself.
