Nice find. Seems to be $250 elsewhere at the moment. It's been $180 before so $150 isn't ridiculous, but we'll see.

This plugs into the back of the Xbox. It's a proprietary slot I think.

Best buy website claims this is USB-C, so I don't see how this can fit

Might bite. I have the 1TB card now and it's been GREAT. Kinda want to upgrade at this price - just need to figure out how to offload current card at decent price or I'd have already checked out. Nice find!

Just out the money towards a PS5 lol. Just kidding. I have both. This is a nice price. Wish Microsoft didn't go the proprietary route with memory.

yes, nice find! in for one. I don't foresee the 2tb being any cheaper in the near future as I've been eyeing both (1tb and 2tb) for a while. Either they are clearing out inventory or this is a price mistake IMO.

Is this better than an external hard drive?

In a sense, yes. Games labeled "Optimized for Series X/S" can only be played either from internal storage or an expansion card (no external HDD/SSD).

The best part is that it's just an 2230 nvme drive in a custom enclosure/connector. They wanted control over drive speed minimums at the cost of consumers paying a premium for proprietary nonsense.
