Been doing back yard movie nights since covid. Used to have regular projector with the cords and extension cords. Took time setting up and putting everything away was really annoying. Now just bring out the nebula and press power. My nebula battery has never run out during a movie when fully charged. Picture quality is really good too. Has to be night time tho. You're not gonna get picture outside in the middle of the day.

Huge variation in feedback for projectors, but for what it offers $230 is pretty good.
Compact and portable with ez setup, HDMI input and 3.5mm output. USB-C charging but some reviews note it is picky about chargers.
Biggest issue is brightness, 200 lumens is dark room only, tech has come a long way and it will look great in a dark room, but not enough juice for any competing light. Kids won't care and having something so portable means you can use it in lots of places you wouldn't use an expensive one, but for anything approaching a good picture 200 lumens means it's for dark rooms only. Backyard at dusk will be washed out. Room with with any lights will be the same. So just be realistic about what 200 lumens gets you.
After that the built-in battery is the biggest liability, but you could always plug it in to a battery box these days, and anker is generally pretty good on that front. I would plan on having to power it sooner or later.

Can I ask your opinion? I have a ZTE Spro 2 portable projector for about ten years ago. It's also 200 lumens and runs an android software that can't be upgraded anymore (ie no Netflix, Disney+ etc) but I can put a Roku stick in it and runs well. Do you think this projector is a huge upgrade from that setup?
My guess is they are very similar far as picture and brightness capability go. Run what you got until you decide you want an actual upgrade or it breaks.

What can you hook up for sound
Got a cheap, "high end" of cheap, Chinese projector. These are noisy, have artifacts at all the edges and have to be placed carefully since they don't have optics to address off-center placement. I will say it was bright. After 13 months, it died. No matter, the name of the company changes every 12 months, so they don't have to honor warranties. And if the description doesn't say "ANSI Lumens" then you can ignore their claims. The Chinese marketing people know that higher numbers sell better for more money, so it is common to find 4000 Lums or Lux ... for a projector with just 150 ANSI Lumens.
Amazon should mandate certain things for all projectors sold, but they don't. Things like native display resolution, ANSI Lumens, and noise output in dB. Perhaps throw length and keystone corrections in degrees along with the focus mode. Also, if the projector has a separate OS, that could be important. Most will have a 5+ yr old version of Android that cannot be patched, so the apps that worked 5 yrs ago are what you get. When Netflix finally disables older video codecs, you'll need a different device to feed video streaming anyway. Personally, I don't want my display device connected to any network and reporting home about when and what we watch, but everyone has different ideas about this.
If you are curious about projectors, get a $100 1080i projector and see if you like it or not. Not everyone does. If you do, then spend the $500+ on one of the top 10 projector brands to get a 2000+ ANSI Lumen device and plan to hook up a separate audio system.

The built-in speakers are a joke on all of them. Don't even bother. Even a $150 soundbar will be 100x better, just be certain you know the audio connections are possible. I ended up having to buy a $30 SONOS optical-to-HDMI ARC adapter and an HDMI-to-optical splitter to connect from the source device, so the 5.1 soundbar system and have the video to to the projector over a 25ft HDMI cable. With this setup, I do get DD and DD+ and DTS audio, but not the Dolby Atmos or DTS:X audio that the soundbar claims to support.
It is a bit pricey though

The Anker Nebula Capsule 3's HDMI input lag varies, with some tests reporting it as low as 23ms for casual use and others as high as 87-94ms, making it unsuitable for serious gaming.
if you don't plan to play fast face game it should befine.
