LiFEPO4 work better as "deep cycle" than any Lead Acid ever did. I use this exact battery combined with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YT38VC8 that I embedded into a battery carrier. Gives capacity and real time current draw, etc. Great for seeing speed vs power draw. I used this for driving a kaboat and get a few hours of 3-4 mph cruising.

This battery can be paired with other products to charge a phone or laptop without issue. Simply option would be to buy a cigarette outlet adapter, and then get a PD car charger with USB-C, then you can easly hookup both of those to the battery and charge the phone or laptop.

These batteries usually don't have the CCA (cold cranking amps) to start a car.

I bought this same battery without the charger for a bit less a while ago (slickdeals link: https://slickdeals.net/f/18563314-eco-worthy-12v-100ah-lifepo4-lithium-battery-no-bluetooth?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arelevance%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse&peid=3fbfe51a-5f01-4ecb-94a3-c96a75f7870f)

Battery works great, keep in mind it does not have any bluetooth so you'll want another way to monitor the SOC (state of charge).

For a larger capacity like a 100AH one in this deal, I wonder if the bluetooth feature might be more important. I read the bluetooth app gives you the difference in volts in the individual cells. If you're the type who wants more info about what's going on with the battery - like the state of charge, cell balance, or charge/discharge rates, the built-in bluetooth seems like a pretty important feature. I don't think you can get that info otherwise.

I don't think they're asking to start a car, I think they're asking as a secondary battery in a vehicle, like for a car audio system. I was about to ask the same thing.

Say like you have a regular car battery in the engine bay and one of these in the back next to the amp rack. Much safer (and you don't have to vent it or mount it under the vehicle) than a regular battery (and Optimas are like $250 now.) I've heard that some people are forgoing a capacitor altogether and just daisy-chaining these with a regular car battery up front for the vehicle to run off of but I've been out of the game for so long I don't know how all that charges (with the alternator or do they isolate it and charge these separately.) I believe that is what the actual question is going to lead to.

Of note: Max current Discharge is 100A. Make sure this fits your intended use. You can run them in groups for more current.

Anyone know if this is a good choice as a battery backup for a 1/2 HP sump pump?

Yes agreed. I have the 150ah version with BT. It's not much bigger and I would recommend it if you can fit it.The BT is a very useful feature. It does show the individual cell voltage, the SOC, and the estimated run time based on current charge/discharge rates. I use it as my main camper battery, with another (different brand without BT) mounted closer to my solar input. So I can monitor the voltage at both ends of the system and watch the two batteries level each other as they are used or charged

The charger also works great. 20a is a decent charge rate for these batteries

That's what the capacitor is for.Yes, this would be a great way to start ANY car, with any battery. Attach the capacitor at the starter and the current demands off the battery will be greatly reduced.I don't know the math of resistance and sizing to make this work, but it's certainly doable.
