I posted two different configurations—first one's Ryzen 5 7535U, second one's Ryzen 3.

It's actually zen 3+ to be exact. Zen 3 is 7nm this is 6nm. It's more powerful actually. For example the zen 3 ryzen 5 5650u pro Passmark multi core score is 14,400 and single core is 2863. The 7535u score is 17,000 and single core is 3200. Also the integrated graphics on zen3 5000 series is the old Vega series and the 660m is the much newer RDNA 2. So please before you say "it's zen 3 its old"" please check your facts

Update: Posted link is a different model number than title and description.
Yep, that link was the original one I used. I ran through a bunch of different configurations—if you're going for the 1TB SSD, just select it. For the second setup, choosing the AMD Ryzen 3 7335U (4.3 GHz) forces the additional hardware downgrades automatically.

Edited to add: I updated the link for the first config, but for whatever reason, the second one refuses to update properly. I've tried multiple times—it keeps redirecting to the original link, even though it works fine when I copy and paste it directly into my browser.

Seriously, what was AMD thinking? Naming the chip architecture "Zen" and the CPUs "Ryzen". Total naming chaos. 😂

Interesting. Anyone comparing these with ThinkPads at work? We've been looking at P16s/P14s and X1 Carbons.

I need to get 2 laptops asap for the kids. Is the $2,400 MSRP realistic? If so, then this is a fantastic deal. I was looking at the Lenovo deals, but this one seems to be the better deal according to the MSRP and the actual cost.

Sorry. This MSRP is click bite.

Not sure I follow—are you saying HP specifically uses MSRP as click bait, or is this a broader claim about laptops and PCs in general? Or are you suggesting MSRP itself is inherently misleading? Just trying to get a clearer sense of your point.

Start with your budget, then zero in on specs, brand reputation, and model-specific reviews. Every PC or laptop has its own blend of strengths, trade-offs, and quirks—so digging into the details is what really pays off.

I'm not fully up to speed on the latest business laptops. Business laptops tend to run higher in price because manufacturers typically vet them more rigorously for durability, reliability, and long-term performance. I do know that workstation-grade models—especially those built for demanding tasks—can get seriously expensive.
