I have this bike and am ordering two more. Super easy to assemble, well built, comes with everything you need besides a side view mirror. I have been ridding it to work daily. The pedal assist kicked in way too strong so I disconnected the PA cable and just use the throttle. I am 6'2" 200lbs and this things tops out at 26 MPH with me on it full throttle. The previous thread on this bike has so many people complaining about Ali express or other e-bikes so it's hard to read. If you are looking for a basic e-bike for an amazing price just buy this. If you don't like it you can probably sell it for $500 or more on Nextdoor after the 30 minutes it takes to assemble it.

This bike has an unbranded 500 watt motor with a 750 watt (16 amp x 48v) controller. With a fully charged battery it will put out 900 watts for a couple of minutes before the voltage drop giving them reason to call it a 1000w peak. Now saying that, this is a steal! I got a 20 ah battery and a battery equalizer and installed it in a bag on the rack, and have effectively countered the only weak spot in the bike...which is the silverfish battery...which does probably do 13 ah....but the voltage drop makes mine put out closer to 700 watts for more than 1/2 of the battery. I plan on changing the front fork to an air fork, and putting a 135mm/750 watt front motor with a dual 750 watt motor controller. Although total (20 ah battery, motor, fork, controller, and balancer) is 450 bucks...which is more than the bike, it will be an awesome 2000 watt peak (1500 rated) scooter with enuff torque to hall my big butt around for less than 800!
I also mentioned in the other thread that the controller and all the power and wiring is in an unsealed outlet box under the bike with two huge holes cut on the sides for the wires to get frayed on. Also, one big puddle could fill this box with water. I ordered rubber grommets for 5 bucks, and will install with a little silicone when they come in to seal them. I just wanted all of you to be aware since most of you won't realize rhis.
I feel this bike is the modern day equivalent of the classic red scooter. The pedals work for shorter people, but it's so heavy, it's really not realistic to equate it as a 'moutain bike'. I think it's meant for urban uses such as the guy on YouTube doing doordash.

I ordered my bike on 9-9-25, received 9-13-25. Package arrived in Austin, Texas in perfect condition (Fed-Ex), no blemishes. Bike was packed almost bomb-proof; very well padded.
All parts were included and arrived as described on the product page. The front and rear brake were calibrated correctly on arrival. The rear derailleur was also per-calibrated out of the box. Assembly involves mounting the handlebars, mounting the rear rack, attaching the front wheel, attaching front and rear lights, and affixing the pedals. The bike comes with all the tools required for assembly. Assembly took roughly 30-40 minutes on my front porch. The shifter and derailleur are branded Shimano parts.
The bike is quick! I weigh 200lbs (91kg) and the bike gets up to speed within 2-4 seconds on pedal assist setting 3. With a 200lb rider the bike seems to max out at 22 miles per hour on flat ground. The bike shifts easily through it's 7 pedal gears. At maximum speed you will not be able to add power to the bike with the pedals, you will be spinning the pedals or 'ghost pedaling' on pedal assist setting 3; even in the highest gear. This is true of basically all e-bikes that reach this speed.
I am 5'10" (178cm) and the bike fits me, but I feel I am toward the maximum height to ride comfortably. Exercise caution if you are > 6' tall.
I have not tested the range or charging speed yet.
The brakes work, but they are mechanical brakes. Exercise caution on a bike this heavy with mechanical brakes, because they do not stop the bike immediately. They slow down the bike and bring it to a gradual stop over a short distance.
If you order this bike you should immediately take action to weatherproof the controller. The controller is in a compartment beneath the battery. The wires that come out of this compartment are run through completely unsealed holes. These holes expose the very sensitive electronic controller to potential atmospheric dust and water. The compartment is also placed in a way that is likely to cause the rear wheel to splash puddle water into the wire hole. This repair should done IMMEDIATELY after you construct the bike. Leaving this hole unsealed will destroy your bike eventually.
Personally, I am in love with this quick little bike. It is an great value for the price. The quality of the frame and the overall care that was obviously put into it's production and shipping genuinely surprised me. I don't understand how they can sell such a well constructed bike, with a 13AH battery, and a powerful 750W motor for the price I paid. I guess economies of scale really produce wonders.

That's the review I would have left on ali-express if they allowed more than 1000 characters. I will have to whittle it down. Just wanted to share my experience with other slick-deals users. I am not affiliated with slick-deals or ali-express or urlife in any way. I hope this is helpful to anyone considering this deal.

The battery and electrical system are all replaceable. The BAD about fixing this bike is the rear hub. It is NOT standard because the bike has only a 138mm.dropout width. The standard for fat tire bikes is a 170mm rear hub. Urlife does not sell the wheel/hub. The motor is made by CZJB..its the 105CZ model 500w rated with a 20 amp max (so...48 to 50v x 20a makes a1000w peak).and they will sell you the motor only(not wheel).through Alibaba.and it takes 3 months to get. Then you have to split the hub casing and use your existing casing/wheel unless you somehow find the right rim and someone to build a new one. Anything else on the bike other than the wheels can be replaced through generic parts. Feel free to PM if you have questions other than how much are the tarriffs.
One can use the online spoke calculator to determine the spoke length for the selected rim. A good wheelsmith will be able to set the correct dishing. Expect to pay at least $90 labor for a hand built wheel.

I live in Montana...and I called every listed bike repair shop in the state...and none would touch an ebike wheel for building or true -ing. The only option I have is swapping the motor from the new casing into the old casing, which isn't too hard. I'm screwed if the rim or spokes get bent. And good luck finding a 20 inch x 40 to 50mm wide ebike thick rim.

I see ebike rims on Ebay starting at $20. Find a rim with ERD that's close to the old rim so you can re-use the old spokes. 700c with 36H and 14 gauge stainless spokes would be ideal for optimum thread life and ease of replacement.

The wheel trueing technique is the same for bicycles and motorcycles. I have no problem building a new 700c wheel (good hub and 36H rim) with +/-0.001" tolerance radial and axial (ref one side of the rim). Always lubricate the thread and rim prior to assembly.

He raised a really important and valid point about the wheels not being easily replaceable if they are damaged and you just keep telling him to learn how to rebuild wheels. Ridiculous. 99% of consumers are not going to know how to repair a wheel properly.

and the reason why no shop will touch these things is because it is a huge liability. you bring one of these cheapo chinese ebikes in there and they true the front wheel, next thing you know you are get into an accident at 30mph and now the shop is being sued for faulty repairs. I wouldnt true or repair one of these either.

I understand the frustration that happens when you expect to purchase a turnkey product for 1/5th the cost, but this isn't that deal. These bikes have been sitting in storage for 4 years because they haven't been selling and there's a reason for that

The thing to remember is this is slickdeals. The way this site used to function, and those OG's are still around, is you would find really cheap deals and sometimes items which by themselves weren't very useful or items that needed significant modification to be actually useful, and then do what's necessary yourself.

Sure, over time, it has become more of a "toilet paper for 20% off retail price" site, because that gets way more readers than "buy a chinese ebike for 1/5th the cost of a branded one but be prepared to learn how to forge the rim if it ever breaks down"

The latter kind of posts were what slickdeals was originally and we are still around Big Grin woot

Let me make my opinion clear. This is an AMAZING slickdeal. Not only does it let my big butt get out without worrying about my knee giving out, It gives me joy in learning, tinkering, and focus in life again. I have posted alot about this bike, and it is great. The last couple posts were not negative per say, but me passing along research and knowledge of the one bad thing I have found about the longevity of parts and how I found to solve it. Thanks OP for this deal!

Got this bike, it looks great and is easy to assemble. There is a YouTube assembly video but I was able to install it without any directions in under an hour. I did notice some metal shavings fall off from inside the rear rack so be careful if you assemble it in your living room...had to go around with a magnet to gather all the shavings. For $350 (with taxes and tariffs), this is a steal !

The bike is steel, so it weighs around 70 pounds...flat ground with a full charge, you will hit 28. I am 240 pounds and I cruise about 26 with a full charge.. 20 to 24 the rest of the charge. If you are even slightly mechanically inclined, I suggest adding hydraulic brakes, which is the bikes greatest weakness. At 28mph it took me 4 car lengths or more to stop. Now I can drag the tires.
20 miles is what I got with no pedaling before I added an extra 20 ah battery with a balancer/combiner. Now I can do about 45 to 50 miles with both charged...no pedaling. (I am usually on the throttle alot)
Which brakes did you go with? I have a spare set of Shimano MT200s but would like to keep the motor cutoff hook-up, if the price is reasonable.

I kept the 160 on the front 180 on the back. I also had to use one of the old mounting adapters minus some spacers.
oh...and I suggest getting a shimano style brake bleeder funnel with mineral oil to bleed after install..

Thanks. These look pretty good for $55. I have the Shimano bleed kit for my MTBs..

OK, now here's the question we have been dancing around:

1. Can the battery be purchased separately?
2. Can I upgrade the battery to add more energy?
3. Can I easily find out which cells are bad and replace just those cells (and do I need to purchase a spot welder?)
