Interesting option. Tempting price-wise, compared to the Legion 5i at Costco that's $250 more for similar specs. With the Costco Legion, you get 2 year warranty, 100% DCI-P3, 500 nits vs 400 nits, 240hz vs 165hz, and Intel 275HX vs AMD which means you get Thunderbolt 4. If these things don't matter to you, seems like the Gigabyte is a good deal.

Unimpressive port selection. There is no dedicated DisplayPort, it's part of USB-C 4. I would prefer second USB-C 4 instead of USB-A 2.0. Battery is only 76 Wh, probably to keep weight down. RGB backlight on keyboard is limited to 1 zone. Some reviews praise quiet fans during light use, but complain about screen bleed. Well, at least sRGB coverage is 100%.

2560 x 1600 with a 8GB VRAM gpu in 2025 should be illegal. This will be VRAM limited in some games, even more so in the future.

Screen bleeding is real. I bought two of the 5070 and both bleed really bad. Not sure if I want to take another chance. The price is really attractive.
