It's definitely built for a smaller fit. I missed that bit when I bought the 65L. But I had to use it anyways for a backpacking trip Labor Day weekend.

I'm 5'-10" and just a little tall for the XL setting of the adjustable shoulder straps. Still, I had 47lbs in it and it was mostly comfortable. FYI, I might have a shorter torso than typical.
