All raincoats will wet out in sufficient rain. This is a single layer jacket with a water repellant coating. I have two of these and wear them in light up to medium rain without any issue. When it starts raining heavy, I try to find some cover as soon as I can. If you wear this in any activity you are much more likely to "wet it out" through sweating than from outside rain.

Have many of these and treat them like hoodies. Great for light coverage on a cool night or morning. Their best feature is how lightweight they are.

Yep, they pack down super small so they are easy to stash. Mine is 8 years old minimum at this point and still going strong despite how incredibly thin it is
