FYI the going rate with Korean Air right now is about $850 RT per person. They have reasonably modern and comfortable planes compared to say Asiana. I wonder about Alaska's planes.

Alaska will be flying newer 787-900 planes on their long haul international flights.

That's good. I flew earlier this year on Asiana and it wasn't fun. The seats were rock hard and the entertainment systems were from the dark ages. My next trip is on Korean Air but they charge for seat allocation, and it's not cheap. It's good to have some more competition on that route.

Most Korean Airline's planes don't have WIFI, and for the very few that do they $ for it while Hawaiian has free starlink for all passengers. Korean air also only allow 1 checked bag compared to the 2 at Hawaiian/Alaska. I have a flight booked to Japan in November and it was way better for me to fly through Hawaiian/Alaska since they're one of the few remaining airlines that still allows 2 checked bags for international travel.

Good to know. Korean Air have Wi-Fi [koreanair.com] I believe on the SEA-ICN route, but yeah, it's $21. Also for baggage, Korean allows two free 23Kg (50 lbs) bags.
