I've heard there's a mod for the PC version to get it to 60fps. I've also heard the ps4/5 version is 7-8GB which seems a little crazy for a remaster of a ps1 game.

The LoK series was pretty difficult from what I remember

I have never played Blood Omen 2. I was a huge fan of the first on original release, but could never feel as attached to the Soul Reaver games. Is Blood Omen 2 good for me? Or will it play too much like the Soul Reaver games?

Blood Omen 2 is awful. Nobody involved with the series made it, and as a result the story, presentation, and gameplay are all really low quality. It also isn't essential to the story for a series playthrough since, as a result of the narrative being loaded with plot holes, it's now considered to take place in an alternate universe.
If you're dying to hear Simon Templeton as Kain, which is always great (he really hams it up in this one) then I say go for it, but it's not fun at all to play.

I think you may have them confused-- Blood Omen 2 is a PS2 game. And not a very good one!

blood omen 1 was on ps1 and then blood omen 2 was ps2.The mod in question was for Blood Omen 1(pc) Verok's GL Wrapper & Patch mod for Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen - ModDBBlood Omen 2(pc) has the Conceptual edition mod

I was referring to the file size you mentioned: the emulated version of BO1 you can download is not that size, but the port of BO2 is.

I remember playing and loving Soul Reaver. It looks like it goes Blood Omen -> Soul Reaver -> Soul Reaver 2 -> Blood Omen 2 -> Defiance?
