Please note that this is ONLY for the White Smoke color. I see someone downvoted & listed they were unable to replicate the deal, so I just wanted to clarify.

Costco has the SC version for $199. I know SC stands for Soft Case but in the images they're showing a hard case. Any other major differences between SC and non SC models?

Looks like a great deal but is there ANY risk at all at getting fakes from Newegg? (I got duped on some "expensive" headphones in the past on Amazon and simply wont risk it.)

Ordered Bose before, got used instead of new.

They have to be QC45 if it mentions USB-C port and 'aware mode'. QC35 didn't have USB-C.

Aware Mode turns on the external microphones of QuietComfort Headphones and feeds ambient sounds into the headphones, enabling awareness of the sounds in the environment, such as cars and emergency vehicles, while still enjoying audio content.
You can likely get 'new' from eBay for similar price from individual sellers.

From Newegg? Yeah, I think any marketplace with resellers is a gamble. No telling what you get. Worst place to buy headphones is eBay, crawling with counterfeits and shady marketing. Do you feel lucky, punk? Well, do you? (Pretty much what I tell myself buying electronics from third parties)

Edit: These are sold and shipped by Newegg. So under no circumstances should you accept anything that isn't new in box.

Bose changed their naming scheme but the QC45 is the older model of these. These ones are simply the QuietComfort model.QC25 -> QC35 -> QC35 II -> QC45 -> QuietComfort

This is actually two models newer (QC35 > QC45 > QC) and is the current main model of QC headphones from Bose. They now also sell an upgraded version called QC Ultra.
