SX is lower end. It will shift well, but it's heavy.
Shock and fork are lower end Fox, good enough for most. Simple and basic, but easy to setup, which is good when you don't know anything.
TRP high end brakes are well regarded. These aren't their high end.
At $1,400, you get a ready to ride trail bike that will be more than enough for a large majority of people. Pretty good deal.

Bomber Z2 = Fox 34
Bomber Z1 = Fox 36
it's a good deal, but GT is out of business so warranty won't be available in case something goes wrong.
not necessarily true unless this link is out of date.
