I have been using this for at least 2 years, it's a decent lightweight bag for day hikes in fair weather but I don't really think there's enough capacity or organization to make it a school/college/work/travel bag. Unless you're a real minimalist, it's really just a lightweight day hike bag.
This has a much needed water bottle pocket for any size water bottle (as long as the 64oz gatorades fit). needs a spot or two i can clip-lock keys or something on for quick access tho. As someone mentioned its not got capacity, but some days i dont want all that weight on my back. I generally carry a couple shopping bags inside my small bags in case I get more stuff when out. The front clip lock may be excessive for a light and well shaped bag but is nice when on a fast vehicle and on bags that slip.
