If you're spending this sort of money go EG4 or similar and get a proper system, much longer warranty, and you're not locked into a specific brand ecosystem. I had a full Ecoflow system installed: Smart Home Panel 2, Delta Pro Ultra (1 inverter and 2 batteries), Ecoflow PowerInsight (expensive Android tablet for monitoring system). Within 1 week the Smart Home Panel had failed and couldn't be repaired leaving half my house without power, they couldn't tell me when they'd have stock to send to me so I chose to replace it with a manual transfer panel. For several weeks after a software update the Ecoflow tablet didn't display any data, after a later software update it started working again. Ecoflow has pushed software updates that have bricked customers devices in just the last year.

I would strongly suggest avoiding Ecoflow, especially for critical and higher end energy storage. Their products are at the high end of the market but the quality is suspect, the software updates are often not properly tested, and their marketing is focused on getting influencers to pose as real customers on social media to mislead people (their Reddit has been flooded with people pretending to be customers but are clearly employees or influencers).

Did you install this yourself or hire someone? I've reached out to several local solar installers, but none are willing EG4.

Signature Solar quoted me $20K for a 14kWh EG4 system, compared to $50–$57K from local installers offering Enphase. Unfortunately, Signature Solar couldn't refer me to any installers for this setup. I simply don't have the time, and I'm definitely not comfortable working with electrical panels myself. If anyone has a recommendation or where to look for licensed installer who is willing to install a complete EG4 system (solar panel, wiring, Flexboss21, etc). TIA.

I'm just about to complete a purchase of a new house next week and have an EG4 system planned out (1 x Gridboss, 2 x Flexboss21's, 2 x EG4 14kWh batteries, will install solar next spring). The Ecoflow setup was in my previous house I sold 2 months ago. Have spent the last few months researching systems, installers, etc and everything I've read is if you want a specific system you either need to find a good local electrician to install it or do it yourself. I even got an installers details through Signature Solar and spoke to them on the phone, they said to email them my info. I sent them the hardware list I wanted which totalled $20k but they never emailed me back. Most solar/battery installers don't want informed customers, they want customers that don't know what things cost.

I have found a couple of electricians who will install EG4 in SW Connecticut. I asked on Reddit and got some recommendations but I have seen the same issues as you where solar installers aren't interested and probably most electricians. Where are you located?

I just finished installing my solar system with an EG4 18kpv and 2 eg4 indoor wallmount batteries. I went through solar wholesale for the permitting and plans. You could ask them about a local installer and there are other companies sort of like this. Doing it myself was way more difficult then I expected but rewarding and saved me as much as a part time job would have

I'm assuming the pro install is for warranty or legal reasons? Maybe a government rebate?
My complexity is with the dual simultaneous AC inputs. These can be either 240 and 120vac, or both 120v.
Why? I felt like installing all the breakers i owned.

I just bought an EV with the same size battery for the same price... I feel like this is heavily taxed but idk. I do have a couple of smaller EF batteries totalling to ~3kwh and they are great! One of them was a life saver during Helene and I got another after that. This said, just a single kWh felt like almost enough to get through the emergency and a system like this feels like straight up overkill to me!

How do you hook this up to your current solar?

No good if you live in any really warm climate (e.g., South TX, or deserts like Southern AZ, Southern NV, Southeastern CA) due to max temp of 117F.
