I decided going with this tablet because it has a feature called Permanent Power Mode, which restricts battery charging to 60% and can be fully powered by USB-C cable, using the battery as a backup if the cable doesn't provide enough power. Should be safe to use as an always-on Home Assistant dashboard.

It has been about 1.5 years that I have been saying the exact samething... so this is getting OLD... point is sooner or later the lowest level CPU will be faster then the G99 but for now I will use the G99 as the standard.
The cheapest CPU you should buy for Android device is either a G99 or a SnapDragon695 they are about equal in power.
The CHEAPEST G99 tablet is the Lincplus T3. Sold at Amazon for $89.99.
