Been using mine for over 1 year with no issues.

Although I have never had issues, beware of horror stories regarding the trade in process. Take pictures and video of the working trade in in case you need proof in the event they deny it for no reason.

hello everryone. as someone that has purchased many items from samsung... i suggest you always take photos and video of the item your trading in. the trading department has a tendency to say the item is not in a good tradable condition. they would say it does not turn on or not signed out and many excuses. have photos and video evidence for when you need to call them and talk about the issue. i have to do that more than 50% of the time over the past 5 years. avoid the headache with a little piece of mind.

It's never ever worth buying any samsung products at launch

If they don't drop deals immediately after the pre order period, then they'll drop even better deals in November for the whole month

Lots of us got these for $25ish last year by trading in the prior model

How many weeks does the battery last on the 44mm?
While it depends on your usage, I wouldn't hope for more than 3-4 days or maybe a week if you turn off everything!

I traded my 7 in for and 8. The 7 was getting little chips on the edge of the screen, supposedly this has beed addressd in the 8, but this is a good deal for someone who wants a newer watch. Samsung did give me the full trade in value since the acutal screen was not cracked. For trade in you do not need to send in the charger cable or the watch band.

Not weeks, days

On my watch 7 44mm, with no gps workouts, I charge it every 2 to 2.5 days

If I run, then it's every other day

If I don't use it at all, meaning it's on but just sitting there, then maybe 3 days (it burns at least 1% per hour no matter what)

This ain't a Garmin

Should I be concerned if not sold by Amazon?

for real? think you're confusing this for watch 8 maybe - it's been 14 Months since these launched, of course they will be cheaper and should be. however, I'll just wait until watch 8 has a better sale than last week ..
i have my order date as September 2024, that's the deal I'm referring to as at launch. it cost me $44 with a watch 5 trade in.
also, these things have not lost any value , if they are new in box there is virtually no difference vs the watch 8 aside from future trade value.
and i dont think there has really been a better deal since (for the watch 7) until now. based on that it should be a similar amount of time before there is a deal like this for the 8.

For people wondering about size, it's not all about battery. Just like any watch it needs to look right on your wrist so you can't get any random size if it doesn't fit your build.

I bought Watch 7 with another (better) deal mid-december last year. Sent my trade-in Watch 5 the next day, but it was not processed i.e. the order was not completed until late January. Hoping it will be quicker this time.

I have a watch6 44mm - I'd say roughly 1-2% per hour battery loss just doing nothing (always on screen disabled). So it lasts maybe 2.5 days.

Charging is probably more like 1% gained per minute charge.

Traded m y 4 classic at launch, and honestly regret it. Not because price, but bc it felt like a down grade. Not many useful new features, miss my bezel, and the band on the 7 is pretty unstable. It falls off all the time and one time screen cracked.

Yeah same experience. Classic 4 was better.

I think samsungs primary competition is the apple watch (non ultra)

Which have rated battery life of 18hrs (up until the most recently announced 11, which has 24hrs)

And they need to be charged daily
