Although I have never had issues, beware of horror stories regarding the trade in process. Take pictures and video of the working trade in in case you need proof in the event they deny it for no reason.
If they don't drop deals immediately after the pre order period, then they'll drop even better deals in November for the whole month
Lots of us got these for $25ish last year by trading in the prior model

I have been doing Samsung trade ins since day 1, and never had one rejected.
The latest one was just a couple days ago when I traded in the Galaxy Watch 7 ($200 + $100) for the Galaxy Watch 8. Only took about a week to get confirmation.
Just take pictures of it factory reset and not cracked.
The 8 is 50% brighter, 3000 nits instead of 2000.
Also the 8 has a couple of minor health features the 7 does not have.
Keep the watch band, they don't need or want it. I just traded in my 7 for the 8 and just sent the watch without the band.

Honey finds different deals for me (such as $60 off the watch7 LTE only good for less than an hour), but then the deal sends me to the Samsung Business site without $150 trade-in credit. I don't see the $48 deal good for 13 hours.

I'm trading in my Galaxy Watch 3 as the 'any smartwatch' option (both were $150 trade-in value). Hope that doesn't cause issues. Figured that was safer because that covers any possible dispute about the model. I'll take pics and video of it turning on the day I send it in.
