Been using mine for over 1 year with no issues.

Although I have never had issues, beware of horror stories regarding the trade in process. Take pictures and video of the working trade in in case you need proof in the event they deny it for no reason.

hello everryone. as someone that has purchased many items from samsung... i suggest you always take photos and video of the item your trading in. the trading department has a tendency to say the item is not in a good tradable condition. they would say it does not turn on or not signed out and many excuses. have photos and video evidence for when you need to call them and talk about the issue. i have to do that more than 50% of the time over the past 5 years. avoid the headache with a little piece of mind.

It's never ever worth buying any samsung products at launch

If they don't drop deals immediately after the pre order period, then they'll drop even better deals in November for the whole month

Lots of us got these for $25ish last year by trading in the prior model

Keep an eye out if you're interested in trading this 7 into the 8 (tends to cost ~$60 during their sales).

The 8 is more comfortable to wear & will have better trade ins next year.

I usually take a screen shot of my cart and the activated deal. They almost always honor it later on if it never shows up.
Thanks for the reply; it's appreciated. I still don't see any Rewards Pending for the PayPal transaction though; do you?

I recall that the "Rewards Pending" for a Bissell product I purchased a year ago appeared immediately in my PayPal account, so I'm assuming the rebate didn't activate. However since it involved a third-party PayPal associated Sweet Bee Jelly extension, perhaps that would explain the delay.

I guess it's best to leave the 44mm silver watch sealed in its retail packaging until the $48 rebate bees return to the PayPal hive to deposit their sweet Rewards Pending nectar. The only reason I bought the 44mm silver was for the $50 final price after rebate.

As for the trade-in, I bought a cheap U8 "smart" watch [dhgate.com] on Groupon for $8 back in 2017, and I'm planning to send that in. If I can find that junky trinket, it would have ultimately served its purpose and proven to be a decent purchase. Now I just need to pray to the Trade-In gods to help me locate it so I can offer up my cheap basterd sacrifice laugh out loud

How does this work if you do Best Buy pickup? Are you supposed to bring the device with you when you pick it up?

No, you just go to Best Buy and pick up the Galaxy 7 watch when you get email/message that is ready for pickup. You get a separate trade-in email/shipping label from Samsung where you send your old smartwatch for trade-in.
