Next time you buy a power strip don't kiss it. Or at least do so before plugging in.

Can we make it a rule that "clamp voltage" has to be listed in the title as that is all we care about now thanks to the comments 😂

It makes you wonder how we got by 30 years ago, I remember just grabbing whatever old , dusty cord extension my father had.

Good for my kitchen. Gonna hook up my Fridge, Microwave and Coffee maker. Maybe use my vacuum at the same time. Oh, and plugin an extension for my window air conditioner. That will be a good test for this guy.

Honest question, why is this one bad? I need a surge protector with a lot of outlets, is it just a bad idea to have that many? Or is there certain info I should look for?

Each outlet you plug into has a maximum output capacity. If you exceed that capacity you overload the circuit. Best case scenario (and most likely) you trip the circuit and it has to be reset (either at the breaker box or gfci if controlled by gfci). Worst case scenario (most people do not know the age/quaily of the wiring in their apt/house/condo) the wire heats up and starts a fire.
If you have multiple low voltage level items plugged into this you should be fine. As soon as you start plugging in high voltage items (tv, computer, game systems) and using the other outlets on here assuming that because there is an outlet it is fine, you are in trouble.

It has a decent enough surge protection at 2100J (though that would be considered only good enough for low level electronics) but there is no mention of clamping voltage

Per a review, the item's manual states: "Safety Notification #4" in the manual, it says "This product is only a outlet extender..., so they do not want you to even use it as what they have it listed as, a surge protector power strip
