this is one of the rare time I can actually replicate the deal.

I have no idea who would want such a machine but I guess it's a good deal.

Oftentimes these will come with missing accessories (pen, mouse) but at least the return policy is painless. May the odds be ever in your favor.

very cool gimmick. no one wants carry a keyboard, mouse and stylus pen seperately. i can see why people return this and ofcourse it being 1500 new. the vertical side by side mode actually makes sense to me. it is like having a full sized 27" screen. but the battery life is likely terrible, powering two oled screens and a processor has to taxing.

The last time I bought a Best Buy open-box everything looked perfect.

Then I realized it smelled.

OH F**K THE SMELL

The face of the woman who took my return was priceless when she opened the trash bag and took a whiff.

I've been carrying the Asus version of the dual screen laptop since they were released (still using the first gen device) and it's been amazing. I like the Asus implementation with the kick stand and magnetic keyboard which makes the device feel like a normal laptop when dual screen isn't needed
Unless you're gaming on the device, it's not that taxing at all

I would probably love this. Dual screen for meeting with clients at remote locations. Plus I often wish I had 2 screens for productivity on the go. This setup might be a little clunky, but probably not much more so than having an external monitor. Plus this is probably higher quality than 90% of the external portable monitors I've tried that aren't complete chonkers
Might like it more if was one flexible screen and a thinkpad. Though I try to boycott any products that use Chinese Uyghur labor, which Lenovo has been alleged to be using

Take a look at Asus' version of this laptop style. Many people prefer it. However, it is more expensive (because many people prefer it)

Just got back from Best Buy. Bought "Good" open box, received "Fair" in a plastic bag missing all accessories. Buyer beware. Also, it looks like the folio / keyboard stand is impossible to source if yours doesn't come with it. Many similar units on ebay for cheaper, with pictures and all accessories. This one is going back. I wouldn't have even accepted it but i was in a crazy rush to make a conference call.

Almost certain it was a display unit. I'm sure they just lost the accessories or they were stolen at some point. I also noticed that there were the remnants of a label on the back of it. Would also make sense as to why all the stores within 100 mile radius of me only have 1 in stock. Just annoying that I paid for a Good and got a Fair. I called Best Buy and they said they couldn't price adjust and I'd have to return it to the store. I told them that since I pay for the membership, I'll just use the hell out of it for 2 months, then return it on day 59. Ridiculous that they wouldn't even refund the $65 difference.

I did not get keyboard and folding stand. Have mouse, pen, charger... It's a display model 22 cycles on battery, capacity still 80w. 5845 hours run time and crystal disk says 87% health.... Comparing that to my 2019 dell xps, with 70% health, 31000 hrs of runtime... Not sure if to keep it or return.... Not sure if I can get keyboard and folding stand somewhere.... So far it's lightweight and portable... But without external keyboard, 2 nd screen will be used as keyboard...first turned on 06/24/2024

been eyeing either this dual screen, Lenovo X1 Carbon or ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 i know all different price point. but 2k OLED is what tempting me. might get one to give it a shot since openbox are way easier to return if it suck

I mean they are 1500 brand new. So is it worth saving around $500 for a product thats run for 6000 hours and missing accessories. It's a tougher call. These units aren't "open box" they've been used for a year on display and used by hundreds of people. A lot different than something that was returned in a 30 day window.
