Had a very similar pack. Outstanding as a packable day pack but I wouldn't put more than a few pounds in it.

I'd second that. I have a similar $5 Ozark pack for my son who just needed something to carry snacks and a jacket in for day hikes or outings. Fine for its purpose, but I wouldn't be putting it through the wringer. It doesn't come remotely close to an Osprey bag or similar.
