Eligible American Express cards (I think maybe just the Platinum Cards?) have $100 back in statement credit on $500+ spend when you rent a car at Hertz (Corporate owned locations). I did not have to drive thru the AI scanner, but they did rent me a car that needed an oil change, no windshield washer fluid and low tire pressure [IMG]https://static.slickdealscdn.com/images/smilies/emot-LMAO.gif[/IMG]
Literally switched to Avis because of the AI scanner and first car I rented from them same thing - first oil change comes in, then low washer fluid , then tire pressure.
However, if you have the AMEX Plat, you are automatically in the President's Circle level of the Gold Club, not sure if that affects whether or not they attempt to yank you around or not.
