had this for a few years.

Budget wheels like the Logitech G29/G27 or T150/TMX, it's okay.

direct drive and belt wheels that have stronger torque make it feel unstable. my solution was using a wood plank and 2 clamps to anchor it to my desk.

I have also seen people online 3d printing a cross beam or drilling threaded rods.

I bought a variation of this for $33 a year ago.
Good: it is a stand and collapses pretty easily.
Bad: instructions are some of the worst you'll see. Putting too much weight on the wheel will tilt the base into your lap. But maybe I didn't set it up correctly
