I'd been watching this model for a few weeks now, trying to figure out the appropriate time to pounce. I missed out on the $1,424 deal through LG Partners (though the price paid was actually higher if you weren't counting the soundbar as something of relative value to you), but wasn't willing to jump in the $1697 (Amazon) -1799 (Costco) range. This $1,599 was tempting, as it was the lowest price offered on this model to date outside of a random blip last March. Additionally, I went back and tracked the price drops of the C3 to compare (trying to see if this was likely to go lower during the holidays). The C3 didn't come down lower than $1,599 last holiday season, AND this model seems to be running OOS faster than the C3 did, already gone in many places (LG before, Best Buy dried up today)...so I took the leap on Amazon.

It's not a super slickdeal, but after reading your comment, I pulled the trigger too... the delivery date is a month from now, so I guess we still have time to shop around...

Damn, where were these prices last year when the C3 was out. could barely find a 65 at this price around the holidays/SB.

it seems that retailers are trying to clear out their stocks to make room for the C5 and G5. Best Buy is sold out of this model in my location.
