I used expired old silicone, but it never cured. It was a bad experience, and the worst part was cleaning up the old stuff, which was a messy paste.

I prefer white or black caulk. Clear is uneventful.

Apparently there is a BBD on the tube but general rule of thumb is 12-18 months from manufacture. Certainly not something to stock up on but it's not like it's going to go bad in a month or 2.

Used this and gorilla white silicone. No difference in final finish. Far less VOC on the GE than gorilla.

I really like how gorilla has a twist off nozzle though. Makes it so you can actually re-use if you use partial now and the rest later. Just twist off, push the cured stuff from the tip out the fat end, and re-twist the nozzle back on

I've used this before on a kitchen sink, good leak protection but like every other caulk, or so it seems, it will began to mold and discolor in a fairly short amount of time.

I agree. I've used multiple brands and all say mold free and after maybe 4 to 6 months mold does buildup in my kitchen sink.

Keep the cut off tip and flip it around to reseal.
