FYI, Shadow is MSI most budget product offering. Backplate is all plastic if you care about such things. Probably not the best choice if you plan on aggressively overclocking your GPU.
People still do that these days? I only hear people undervolting.

Is the two fan version going to be problematic for cooling like I'd assume?

The MSI Ventus version of this card is $20 more at Walmart if you're not into the Shadow version.

2 hours driving isn't worth $70 and the return hassle imo. but you do you.

One has to assume the 18gb version of the 5070 is coming soon and they are liquidating the current stock?

Drop baby drop drop drop!

NVIDIA has been hurt, and those waiting on the Supers coming soon will be rewarded with our 2-5 years of patience

I'm still holding out...price inflation is still so bad with video cards. And with the anticipated 5070's coming out with more ram, I think these will continue to drop.

MSI website shows $550 for me.

Multiple 5070 models popping up for less than MSRP is IMO the strongest support for the validity of the Super refresh rumors

I'm just opposite and feel like most of these ginormous coolers are totally overkill.

I totally get what you're saying. Under normal circumstances I'd agree with you, but I happen to be going to the area tomorrow anyway for other things. This might work out in my favor! I also marked your comment as helpful because I forgot about the return hour back lol.
