Yes and no. It would be nicer if there were mid-range productivity PCs in the $400-$500 price range, perhaps with integrated graphics or a true budget discrete graphics card. But there are no budget graphics card segment anymore. The RTX 5050 is an RTX 4060-level card.

Thumbs up for what it is, even though I still lament the lack of $400 mid-range productivity desktops.
Can u get any brand desktop better than this one? Definitely, no!

Except that MSI, like Dell and HP uses proprietary connectors so you can't upgrade certain things over time

Looking at the product photos, it appears to have one HDMI port and three display ports. Assuming that is the actual GPU that comes in it. So I would say yes it appears to support four monitors.

This is basically MSI trying to entice people to low-end yet still 5000-level GPU hardware, while at the same time selling off their almost-two-year-old CPUs.

For the price....seems priced about right for an entry-level gaming system!

Does Acer lock down the bios on this model? I've owned a couple of Acer computers and they grayed out a lot of the settings I'd like to have access to.

You mean MSI? My few MSI that I have have all been easy to change bios settings in.

Buy a 2x32gb kit and resell the 16gb that it came with?
The cheapest upgrade would be to match whatever the 16gn stick in there is with another one to get to 32. Which is more than enough for most people.

A quick Google showed the 5050 is a slower 4060 with dlss4.

for real? Any idea which components are like that? This is definitely something to think about before buying then...
