Those looks similar to the hd husky modular boxes. It is probably made in the same factory as husky.

Can anyone here comment on the durability or lack thereof of these tool boxes? I'm really looking for something to carry my cordless tools around as well as associated hardware/accessories.

I have something like 6 different versions of these due to Walmart basically giving me them for some reason.

out of Kobalt, Craftsman, Stanley, Hart, my favorite is the Craftsman system.

Their locking system is fine, not the biggest fan but it is simple and likely repairable. but the real awesome thing is the interchangability between their two different systems. The more professional set has an adapter that allows you to connect the more consumer version. both systems are good and usually inexpensive.

Hart has the easiest locking system, utilizing a spring and clip system that is very satisfying to use, but I worry about functionality longterm, and i absolutely HATE working with springs if I'd have to repair something.

Keep in mind i don't have the Milwaukee stuff. Im not a Milwaukee tool person so I'd cannot compare.

My Husky modular system has metal closures and a compartmentalized see through top storage piece but everything else looks the same. Serves my purposes (keeping tools and accessories all in one place) and is surprisingly roomy. My only problem is remembering what's where!

Stanley / Black and Decker company owns Dewalt and Craftsman also. I do not believe these can interchange with the others.

I'm in the market for Dewalt Tough System and Craftsman Tradestack storage for some full sized options that also have ability for the stacking the smaller Dewalt TSTAK & CM Versastack lines. The bigger stuff is mobile, but I find the cheaper smaller lines more suitable for most my use cases.

One thing I like about this and the Husky set is the bottom tool box doesn't have a lid. Most do, and if you remove lid, not able to use locking mechanism etc

This Black & Decker can "interchange" with this $86 Stanley model because they're basically the same item. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Stanl.../a#overlay
They don't sell any accessories to fit these. What you buy is what you get.

While there's no way of knowing with these tariffs and all, Lowes sold the Craftsman TradeStack 3 piece kit for $99 during Black Friday. The BF ads usually "leak" in October.

I like the dewalt tstak for something simple and tough. I'm Sure there are other decent models. I personally think that the top of the line tough boxes are way too bulky and heavy with a bunch of wasted space on the sides.

I was just at Home Depot, and they had Husky Build-Out boxes on clearance. The wheeled base box and the large 2-drawer box were both $50, and a smaller model was $25. So you'd pay a bit more going that route but they seem pretty decent, and I'd trust those over anything B+D. I don't really need more toolboxes right now so I'm not buying either, although if I see the right deal for me I'll still grab it.
