would never touch Shark products. Piss poor customer support! The last time when I had an issue with their expensive vacuum their solution was a 30 percent off coupon if you buy a new from them. No thank you!

This consumer grade device seems to have so many "technologies" packed into it that on surface it seems great but it's bound to fail more quickly than others with simple tech. By more technologies I meant more sensors and more mechanical points of failure to do it's regular job. All the Stain sensor, dirt sensor, obstacle detection, lift up mop, wash mop, lift up vacuum over obstacles, suck out dirt for 30 days, suck out the water, etc will cause some failure method which could be hard to fix with so many things going on.

Last time I had a problem with my shark vac which was $300, they asked me a few questions over the phone, than asked me to send a picture of me cutting the power cable to the vac, and then they sent me a brand new one and told me to toss the old one. So clearly something was off with your experience or I had an amazing agent one off... In all I got a new unit shipped to me and was back up and running in under 5 days, but my product was still in warranty.
That all being sad this tech is now being replaced with better mop rollers that self clean, for another $100 more you can get a vac that has it and does an overall better job cleaning. So at $450 I would still say this is not much of a deal, this would be more of a deal at around $300 with the older tech.

I had a vacuum fail and they didn't want to honor the warranty because the NEW vacuums didn't have as long of a warranty. I had to send them a photo of the manual and still had to fight to get it replaced. This was after they wanted to charge me $80 for a replacement floor nozzle that they claimed was a "consumable," like a filter. I read them their own manual to define "consumables," and then they offered a 50% discount, and asked if that was acceptable, to which I said no. They charged me shipping (which I felt was reasonable considering I probably would have had to pay to replace the whole vacuum), then refused to refund the shipping cost when it turned out it was the wrong replacement part, because my vacuum was no longer being produced. At the same time and before I knew my vacuum couldn't be repaired, I ordered genuine replacement filters and it looked like cheap knockoffs rather than the originals, which were shown in photos on the website. One of them had no satin tag and was clearly thinner. I understand quality may change but they should then change the photos. They didn't want to refund me for that either until I asked to speak to a supervisor. They finally replaced the vacuum after sending the photo of the cord being cut, but the entire situation left a terrible taste in my mouth. I had recommended Shark vacuums to people for years and several bought based on my recommendation (2 friends, my mom, and my now-husband), but I can no longer do so in good conscience.

I've had a shark stick vacuum since the past 7 years and it's still running like brand new. Only needs periodic filter replacements.
Bought wife a shark dryers and she loves it. - 2 years no issues
Just got a Ninja personal blender and it's working much better than my older one.
The only bad product I've bought from them was the Ninja Masticating Juicer which left a lot of juice in the solids.

Just something to ponder on IMO.
