Not totally confirmed, but there are posts about the ES655 having a better burr grinder than the ES601.

Could I combine it with the Groupon membership deal?

Or you could just read it directly in the description. Take some time and read before asking questions when the answer is in front of you.

Not yet as it is not widely available in the US. I suspect it may take a little bit of time to "customize" for the Costco version. Possibly arriving before Thanksgiving?

Just picked this up last night! I did not realize until checkout that there was this extra $80 off - it wasn't marked on the sign in store. I was quite happy when they rang it up.

Even if the pro-version is coming, this is a heck of a deal to snag with the Costco return policy.

If I pick up and enjoy the hobby enough to spend $750 or more (quick search shows this is the pro price range), then it seems better to buy a separate grinder and espresso machine anyway. This model seems ideal for someone testing the waters, like me.

Glad you were able to take advantage of the deal. Yes, I was surprised to see the in-store promo as I did not see any references online. Probably a good strategy to jump on this, while waiting for the ES701 model with the new tampering system...

Thanks OP! In stock at this price in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Also noticed there is an $80 Costco gift card if purchased online.

Finally, the model is the "Signature" (ES655) opposed to "Premier, which appears to provide a few extra features over the Premier.

Waiting for this as well to be released at Costco! In machine tampering system saves 2-3 steps and could be a quality of life improvement when making thousands of cups per life of this machine.

Assuming same price, what's better for a beginner who primarily drinks lattes?

This or the breville bambino plus? Will only be making 2-3 lattes a day with single shots, excellent oat milk frothing, somewhat easy operation and easy cleanup/maintenance are desired. Not an Espresso snob just want to save from my $7 per cup daily habit.

We just bought the es701 two weeks ago direct from Ninja at $599. It is absolutely worth the money. Works fantastic, tons of options, the frothing is A+ and it even looks / feels like a high end appliance
