This doesn't look bad for a 5070ti build. Whats wrong with it?

CPU comparison:

Pairing either the Ryzen 7 9800X3D or the Core i7-14700F with an RTX 5070 Ti gives you a powerful gaming rig—but the choice depends on what you prioritize.

At 1080p, where CPU bottlenecks are more pronounced, the 9800X3D can deliver up to 15–20% higher FPS in cache-sensitive games like Starfield, CS2, and Hogwarts Legacy. In more GPU-bound or less cache-reliant titles, the gap narrows to 5–10%, and in some cases, performance is nearly identical.

In terms of temperatures, the Ryzen 9800X3D runs cooler thanks to its efficient 4nm architecture and lower TDP. Expect average gaming temps around 60–70°C, even with modest cooling. The Intel 14700F, with its higher core count and power draw, often hits 75–85°C under load, and may require a beefier cooler to stay quiet and stable.

So if you're building a gaming-first rig, the 9800X3D is hard to beat—it's cooler, faster in games, and more efficient. But if you're a gamer who also streams, edits, or multitasks heavily, the 14700F offers more cores and threads, making it the better all-rounder despite its higher temps.

This looks like a great deal for 1440p gaming and even 4k gaming, I have similar powered builds in my house and we have cero issues. I was recently in the market for an extra gaming pc for my house and if this was available then I would have considered it.
