These are delicate. Mine (Denali labeled) fell off of the top of an end table I was assembling, hit a wooden floor and it got stuck on until the battery died. Pushing the buttons did not turn it back off. I'd recommend the 4V Ryobi over this, unless you need the torque settings. My Ryobi has taken more abuse and it keeps going.

Skil makes a red electric screwdriver that I use all the time. I really like it. That one has a rotating end. I have never tried this one though.

Anyone know the story with whatever agreement between amazon and skil is? I've been noticing a lot of Skil deals popping up, which i suspect is to entice people to get into their ecosystem before its too late.
Are these actual Skil tools rebranded for amazon, or are they their own line?
No experience with Skil's cordless stuff, but i have a 10 year old corded jigsaw and miter saw of theirs which have been through hell and back and still get the job done. You don't get all of the bells and whistles, but they were well built tools in all of the important ways.

I bought this Amazon Basics screwdriver a few months ago, full price. I've been delighted with it. Fits my needs to a T. Form factor is precisely what I was looking for, incredibly easy to handle. Power isn't overwhelming, but I didn't intend on using it as a torque driver. Instead, it does what I need it to do, which is to be a convenient tool for screwing and unscrewing fasteners. I wish I hadn't waited so long to purchase one. I don't know anything about competing products, but I'm a big fan of this one. 🙂

I bought one, works well and keeps a solid charge... the only thing I don't care for is the single speed.

I like mine, and I also designed two models for it for Ikea Skadis.

I bought one when it was called Denali, amazing little driver and wish I had bought one earlier. I also have a skil 20v drill that I got cheap on woot and haven't touched my dewalt 14v since.

SKIL is not a brand. It's just more familiar no-name "name" because it's sold at WM.

These screwdrivers are dime a dozen for about $8 on Temu. I got mine there. Very powerful actually, can twist your arm if you're not holding it tight. Probably exact same innards as "SKIL" and any other "brand" and every other noname e-screwdriver.

I bought mine a few months back when I saw it on the Torque Test Channel. It's really nice, it's not variable speed, but it does have 3 torque settings. I had my son put together a pellet smoker with it - he dropped it on the concrete a few times - it survived. It's still working fine - haven't charged it in months, but I saw the comments in the forum so I brought it out - still has plenty of charge. I liked it better than the Skil branded one I bought (to be fair - very different shape but similar cost). For just household use it works fine.

Would you mind post the keyword to look for? Since links are not allowed. Thanks!

I only wish this screwdriver came with a carrying case. I'm currently using a mesh-reinforced plastic bag: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C2BW4Q5D It works well as a space-saving case, when toted around in my toolbox. But I'd nonetheless would like a dedicated container for the screwdriver and bits.

EDIT: Ended up purchasing this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DG2783C4
I don't care for the logo, but I can live with it. 🙈

I don't recommend people doing what I did. There are better options for buying an electric screwdriver that comes with its own case. I'm just offering an option to anyone who already owns one of these screwdrivers.

I have both. In my opinion the Skil is actually easier to use, but has just barely enough power to put together furniture.

Great tool. I use this with a brush attachment to clean the grout on my shower floor and it does not overheat. Best torque as well
