Got one of these as a gift, it didn't work after a couple months of usage. The customer service isn't helpful.

Really? I have had mine since February and use it every work day - when not on I stand on it. Still works great!

Thanks. Been tracking these for a while. Seems like a decent price.
Reviews look mostly positive. Don't buy it for the vibration function.

Not recommended for carpet but only walking speed under desk hopefully won't build up enough heat to be an issue.

In for one, we'll see how it does...

Oh no, I was considering this as I could use something to put under my standing desk but I do have carpet in the area. is this so low profile that it would damage it?

would it help to put a mat underneath to protect the carpet?

Yeah, you would want a mat underneath it so the track doesn't rub against the carpet.

I just checked mine and it goes to 3.8. Remote has 2 triple A batteries & I haven't had any issues with it not working. I don't know if you can manually change the speed, never tried. It doesn't look like it.

I know these are good for walkng desks but no side handrails seems risky. $100 walking pad or around $250 for a budget regular treadmill

FB market place is flooded with this crap. apparently these stop working after 2-6 months of continuous usage. You are lucky if it outlive its warranty.
