That is why you buy their open box stuff at the store so you can inspect them, I never had a problem and I recently bought the 1440p 165 version for under $300.

This is a decent price on a good monitor. But be aware it has an internal fan for cooling. This can cause what is effectively coil whine. If you get a good unit you'll never notice, but a bad one will sound like a beehive. Whenever I have coil whine on a PC product I bring it right back, so watch out. YMMV.
