Someone already recommended the tressless subreddit, so I'll +1 that recommendation.
The holy trinity is basically finasteride (DHT blocker to slow the main mechanism for male pattern baldness) + minoxidil (this product here, can encourage hair growth but on its own does not prevent loss) + optionally microneedling and/or ketoconazole shampoo (Nizoral brand is popular) as adjunct therapies.
I mostly just do the first 2 and at 30, have been able to regrow a lot of my hair and am pretty happy with where I am right now. I would not however recommend only using minoxidil (this product). If I had to choose one, I'd only take finasteride.
Think of it as a leaky bucket, the water in your bucket (your hair) will slowly drip out. If you plug the bucket and add more simultaneously you'll get the best results. If you only pour water in, you may be able to maintain water level or even add to it, but as the leak progresses and holes get bigger, your results are worse and worse. Better to plug the bucket
