I'm a new homeowner and just grabbed this ONE+ blower. I may or may not necessarily go full Ryobi, so I'm wondering: which battery or starter kit gives me the most flexibility?
— Something good for the blower
— That I can reuse if I pick up a drill, saw, etc.
— But avoid being locked into a single brand too early.

Also, if you have any tips or tricks on how to choose a tool ecosystem (like what to look for in long term battery compatibility, price vs performance, or versatility), I'd really appreciate the advice!
Thanks for any guidance!
Maybe my perspective will help: Honestly, Ryobi is pretty decent for us typical homeowners, in my opinion. I'm not a power user but do use my tools a fair amount because having the right tool just makes life and home ownership so much easier, especially if you like to get your hands dirty. BUT I don't work with my tools for a living where a tool going down could potentially cost me hundreds of dollars and a days work, and that's where say Milwaukee reigns supreme. Expensive but great quality that can take abuse.

For you, I'm guessing Ryobi will be just fine. In addition, even if you buy 1-4 batteries for this blower, there are lots of other cool Ryobi accessories and other gadgets that you may want now or in the future as Ryobi is always coming out with new stuff. Whether you're a lets just screw some stuff into the wall or I'm going to rip some 2x4's for a deck, Ryobi should be just fine.

Lastly, HD always runs 3-4 sales a year where if you buy X you get Y for free. Usually buy 2 batteries get a free tool. It's a great way to get the tool you want and extra batteries at a great discount. Check previous posts for timing or to see examples of deals etc. You're already ahead of the game though and on SD and finding great deals!

I've had this blower for over 2 years and it has been great. I can do my large lot with 30 minutes of blowing with battery to spare.

Got this blower about a week ago and it IS awesome (huge improvement from what I had), but that was because of a slickdeals posting.

So sadly, this is a duplicate.
Always good to check the forums before posting.

Yup. Thanks for the great advice. I never considered checking the forums. Or perhaps I did and didn't see this deal. Always good not to assume. Glad you are enjoying your blower as much as I am.

You're new to posting deals, wasn't sure you had checked previously.

Sorry you couldn't find it. But I try to be thorough if I'm posting a deal. All I did was Google "ryobi blower" and it was the first link, posted Oct 1.
Wasn't exactly difficult and certainly not worth getting upset about. Mods are probably just going to merge this anyway.
In the future though, it's worth doing your due diligence first and making sure if you do find a pre-existing post, that it's expired. If so... Have at a repost, it will certainly help others in that case.

I want 1, but HD shown none in my area. Anyway, I stopped by the store this morning for something else and saw its on the shelve. It is definitely YMMV.

Yup, it comes with the detachable speed tip. It has a line on it if you want to cut it too.
(Mine was in the box)

STILL managed to pull off this deal over a month after it was originally posted. Very YMMV.

The Home Depot app showed 1 in stock at my local HD and 2 in stock at a HD one town over. My wife and I started at the HD with 2 but came up with nothing. Amazingly, my daughter went to the nearby HD and actually found it hidden among the tools. Early Christmas present for me 😊
