i just recently bought 3 1-year XBOX Core game pass cards for $75 each ($225) and converted them to 1 1/2 years of Game pass Ultimate. I had to wait until my existing game pass ultimate expired to do this. I know I will not be renewing Ultimate once my year and a half is up.

Microsoft increased the ultimate tier to $30 and with that a mass exodus of people are leaving the service. Really not worth it at that price. Can buy a brand new AAA game every other month instead of Game pass and keep them forever and many of the titles on the service can be had for $20 or less! Maybe buy it for a month try all the games a bit see which ones you like then buy them outright!

I wonder if anyone is getting grandfathered into the older rate. my bill says I'll be charged 19.99 Oct 7th...

If the rate went up on the 1st... it doesn't seem to reflect on my account. Unless they already changed their minds.

Max exodus. lol. You an insider? Don't pay $30. Here you can pay $20. BJs you can pay $15.99.Also explain the math to me. You can buy a AAA every other month for the same price.$80 = $60. ????

I wouldn't count on it and they won't change the model. Just go buy a year or 2 now at this price.

Pretty sure this still works, just buy 3 years of EA play for $30 each(best buy/target). Stack them on your Xbox account, then buy one month of ultimate, key sites sell them for $12-14 or pay retail at $19-20 then add it to your Xbox account. This converts to 13 months of ultimate for $110. I believe they offer you another month if you add auto renewal, which you can immediately disable afterwards. This only works if your xbox membership is expired.
