True. Not everyone wants a package camera. Not everyone needs continuous recording or has the base station and hard disk to handle it. Comes to user preference but for me continuous recording and package notifications are good enough and I don't have to keep looking below to check for package.
I have home base 2, is the above door bell compatible?

anyone have this and can speak to battery life? seen lots of complaints in the past in regards to it. looking to get something to replace my Wyze doorbell pro which is an absolute beast when it comes to battery life. I get 6 months easily.

There is one with an extra battery for $129. I bought that today. I had the same setup with Ring before, it makes it absolutely no downtime, I guess.

I do have an older model from a couple years back. it's powered not through battery. it's okay but I'm not impressed. constant misreporting and misses the delivery guy every time. it's actually pretty bad imo. unless I want it to trigger on tree branches moving all the time I will miss stuff.
the reason i bought it was because it was probably one of the only with local storage without a subscription at the time. but it only stores like 2 days worth of footage. tbh there's a lot of better options nowadays. I would not buy this brand again for the experience
We got the E340 about 6 months ago... its been great honestly. It can do on device recording without the need for a homebase, and the package delivery notifications with the two camera views is really nice. I'd originally hooked it up with HB3, but found it actually performed worse, so we got rid of the homebase 3, and juts kept this doorbell cam.

Thinking of getting a wired one to reduce dependence on battery charging in winters.
Just to make sure, it will working with existing older chime, correct? the 18-24v one?

I got a motorized shade that I will have down when the sun is blasting and needing a secondary doorbell for when my shade is down. Thinking of getting another eufy, but don't like how it only comes in black. Afraid it will stand out too much/hoa will complain. Anyone know of any covers that exist for this doorbell with color options?

I have this and I was not able to make it work with my existing doorbell chime. I even had an electrician take a look at it who said that they were not able to figure it out, but they likely think it has to do with the old wiring of the house. interestingly, before they swapped out the doorbell, the old wiring of the house worked with the standard doorbell. transformer is fine so it's either something to do with the doorbell or the wiring. could be either way, but that's been my experience. otherwise, the doorbell is pretty good, the only thing I don't like about it is that the notifications come in too late. I don't know if it's because I don't have a home base or not, but what's the point of getting a notification after the person has already started to walk away?
