For anyone wondering how this deal works out if you have an existing GPU account - you end up paying about $24 a month for 10.5 months (if you have to buy the Sam's Club membership which is $25 minimum).
If you have a Sam's Club membership already, this goes down to around $22 a month. This whole price hike just blows.

It looks like MS just reduced the conversion rates again. It used to be 3:2 (or 66.67%), then was 2:1 (or 50%) and is now just 40%. BOOOOOOOOO!

I thought you can only stack up to 36 months. How are you doing 42?

Think you can stack up to 3 yrs, using any GP tier. Just have to know what conversion rate is if use lower/cheaper tier.

OP are you looking at the latest conversion or am I missing something? MS page says Xbox Game Pass Essential converts to Ultimate at 40% now. Not 2:1.
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/he...onversions
  • Xbox Game Pass Essential conversion percentage: 40% of your remaining time will convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time and be rounded up to the next full day. For example, 90 days remaining of Xbox Game Pass Essential will convert to 36 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time.

36 months is the max. The 2:1 conversion of Core to Ultimate is only if you don't have an Ultimate Subscription. It's worse if you just add to an existing GPU Sub. Therefore, in order to get this price per month you need to wait until an existing GPU Sub expires so every time you do this you will be limted to the 36 months Core converting to 18 months Unlimited.

UPDATE: MS lowered the comversion rates from 2:1 (or 50%) to just 40%.

I think your conversion number are wrong. 2:1 was the old rate.

My apologies it differs whether you currently have Ultimate or are starting with no subscription at all. I updated description accordingly.

This ^^^^ I tried but Microsoft has become a bit greedy with all their conversion adjustments.

seems like the conversion rate is closer to 25% on an existing GPU subscription

You can't do more than 36 months when you first convert as that is the max that MS lets you have for any GP sub. Any codes you add after the conversion is converted at a much worse conversion rate killing the deal so 36 months is the max to get the best deal.
