When you say "these" are you referring to this exact device? I've handled retractable cables with a wide variability of quality and wouldn't lump ALL cables together. You have experience with this one in particular?

Not sure what is the target customer of this product, the power bank is only capable of 0.68h at 145WH in full capacity(which is not possible). To power a laptop, 10 times the capacity is needed.

But to charge iphone, there are multiple deals of 10000mah PB at $11, which is sufficient to charge two iphone in a single day.

It is rare to see a PB with UL certification. Maybe that's a legit reason to pay the premium?

Most laptops have battery capacities of 50Wh, 70Wh or 99Wh. This power bank is 77Wh (printed on the casing). It will fully charge most laptops (with the exception of gaming laptops).

I will have to disagree with you since I have this and other products which have retractable cables. while they are not 100w cables, they can handle 65w just fine. so if your usecases is charging a phone when traveling, this works rather well where you are not fishing for cables inside a backpack when flying.

Haha if you actually take output of 145w from this thing, it will die in like 30 minutes?

Excellent power bank. Charges phone a lot faster than my plug in. The retractable cord works great with no issues. The only issue i found is that it does drain the battery on the power bank quite quickly. Overall for the price, it is worth the investment if you are looking for a fast charge.

That's not how that works. it can output 145w for 30m. Or 100w for ~43m. Many laptops can't charge at that rate so if it's a lower rate, it will last longer. E.g. if it's 60w it's will charge for roughly ~85m. That would be enough to get most laptops a full charge. But obviously highly dependent on your laptop, battery capacity, if you are using it at the same time and if you are using it at full capacity, etc.
