Not sure what reviews you're looking at but this TV is pretty incredible, probably the closest mini-LED to an OLED other than the Bravia 9.

So, who else is on the fence btw this and a comparable mini led Sony or Samsung for+ $300ish? It seems that TCL model outshines the hisense comparable in tempering the color accuracy over brightness but anyone do a compare with samsung or sony? For some reason I'm leaning against the Sony comparable due to the reduction in Blue brightness -- it seems they crippled it in favor of their OLED lineup?! Samsung blue(s) are spot on..

Serious reply. The QM8K can compete with OLED sets. If you don't trust me, check Rtings.

Personally. Keep waiting folks. The QMK line will get cheaper and cheaper with the QM9K out. I think we will see heavy discounts in November

I got this tv a couple of weeks ago open box excellent condition from bestbuy for $816. It is for my very bright, lots of windows living room. The quality is i'd say very close to my other tv that is an LG OLED. But for daylight viewing in bright rooms this one is better.
