Heads up.. unlike other Arlo cameras, this does NOT have a built in battery and needs to be on hard wired power (plugged in, USB-C power) at all times. And no solar options.

Problem with these is that you need a required monthly subscription

Picked up the Arlo PTZ camera with subscription... Cloud storage is pricey, but it's an american company vs other companies... not bad of a deal. thanks op!

Arlo is trash. You can't believe them. When they started they offered free monitoring and that was their selling point, even if their cameras were a premium price.

Later they took that away and tons of backlash, look it up. They tried a transit period and finally decided not to support their Pro Cameras other originals.

They'll do it again in some for or another. Offer you options and take them away.

Hold up there.. does it work with the base stations? Cause that's how I have my arlo's set up and it's completely free. You get notifications but you can't watch the videos. There's even a work around for that too

I've been pretty happy with the eufy family of cameras. I've got outdoor and indoor cameras all accessible with the app (and you can also stream on a web browser). They use micro-sd cards for storage and everything is free with the app. They do offer paid cloud storage, etc, but I've never used it or needed it since the micro-sd cards save several days worth. They also offer a home base option but I don't use it and am not familiar with whether it requires any kind of subscription.

This camera and all the new 3rd Gen Essential cams work with the base station model VMB4000 and newer but it can also connect directly to Wi-Fi without the need for a SmartHub.

Vietnam and Taiwan are the main hubs of production for Arlo, but it will also say on the package if you need specifics.
